Janina Fink was born in Lucerne in 1995. She began to play the violin at the age of three on the basis of the Suzuki method. At the age of 12, she gained her first competitive experience and acquired a diverse repertoire of ensemble and orchestral works. In 2013, Janina Fink successfully completed her school-leaving exam at the cantonal school Alpenquai with a focus on music and received the top grade for her Matura thesis on film music composition. In 2014 she was awarded the 2nd prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition. In 2017 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in classical Music. She participated in workshops and masterclasses given by Ivan Straus, Leos Cepicky, David Frühwirth, Yair Kless, Detlef Hahn, Peter Brunt, Hansheinz Schneeberger, Aylen Pritchin, Valeriy Sokolov and Oriol Sana. In June 2019 she graduated her Masters in music pedagogy in classical music at the HSLU Music under Professor Igor Karsko. She wrote her master's thesis about mental training with children in music lessons. During her studies she attended conducting lessons with Franz Schaffner, composition lessons with Dieter Ammann and jazz lessons with Simon Heggendorn. Her current artistic activities range from small band appearances on specially organized events to orchestral performances worldwide. Recently she has been writing music reviews for the cultural magazine Null41.ch. Janina Fink wants to expand her competencies in the field of music education by continuing her education as a mental trainer.
